Mega Partnering…and you

Whether you spell it Mega Partnering or MegaPartnering, it’s billed as “The Greatest Business & Real Estate Event on the Planet”…and, it starts in a few days.

Why you want to attend

First, why do I attend? Because it’s a strategic move to make.  How so?

The connections I make…and the power players I get face-time with.

All hype aside, successful entrepreneur JT Foxx is bringing together some of the biggest names in business and real estate for three days to share their wisdom. Scheduled to attend are:

  • Gene Simmons: Branding & licensing expert…and, yes, co-founder of the rock band KISS
  • Jay Abraham: Business marketing legend
  • Wayne Palmer: Notes and equity-exchange expert…and Rich Dad’s Robert Kiyosaki’s right-hand man
  • Bruce Buffer: Business strategy & branding expert
  • Kevin Harrington: Direct response & infomercial expert and star of ABC’s “Shark Tank”
  • Wayne Allyn Root: Business expert & political personality
  • Paul Bauer: Economy & demographics expert
  • Raymond Aaron: Business success expert

With “Mega Partnering” as the event name, you can bet there will be plenty of opportunity to network with an event room full of like-minded business and real estate professionals. JT indicates there will be over 400 people attending.

“Your net worth equals your network” ~ JT Foxx

Here’s what happens at a MegaPartnering event

Having MC’ed the previous Mega Partnering event, I can speak with some authority on how a MegaPartnering event unfolds.

At it’s core, this event is about networking and connecting with successful business and real estate professionals…some from around the world. For the networking portion of the event, successful business people come to:

  • Establish new business relationships
  • Find & discuss deals
  • Discover opportunities
  • Secure funding

Come prepared to network…and dive in. You may be amazed to see your network expand exponentially.

The speakers from the previous MegaPartnering event shared valuable advice that attendees could take home and plug right in to their businesses to help make them more successful. Expect the same from this coming event.

Take a lot of notes…then, put the advice into action. Read that again.

On a side note, I’ve been to many business and real estate events in my time. And, I’ve seen my share of pitches for products and coaching. I’m expecting this to occur at this event.

Your game plan

Get your tickets now before Mega Partnering L.A. 2011 sells out. Go for the VIP tickets if they’re available, as you get the bonus day added…and you get to attend the VIP dinner with the event speakers. JT typically puts a speaker at each dinner table.

Bring a lot of business cards…you’ll need them.

And, dress in your business attire…but, only if you want to be taken seriously.

Have your 29-second “elevator pitch” ready. You’ll want that for the speed-networking session.

“We match proven buyers with institutional & private sellers of distressed bulk commercial & residential properties and notes. Do you know someone who may be interested in buying or selling distressed bulk properties or notes?”~ Don Roberts elevator pitch

Show up early each day and network. Grab a good seat when the doors open. If you get the VIP tickets, you get to grab a seat up front. Network with those seated around you.

Network at breaks, lunch, dinner, and afterward.

Focus on the people you meet. People love talking about themselves. Make it about them.  They will naturally ask about you. Wait for it…then talk about you.

“You’re building a business relationship…not trying to sell something.” ~ Don Roberts

Don’t be the one who leaves a card at everyone’s seat during a break. If you do, you haven’t begun a relationship. You’ve done a drive-by. I toss drive-by cards.

“The best way to get someone to ask for your business card is to…ask for theirs first” ~ Blair Singer

Follow-up with the people you meet. It’s easy to put off…I know. Just do it…and watch your business take off.

Bottom line

I met my two current business partners (Candace Pendleton-Batty and Brady Curtis) at events. Candace at a real estate event…and Brady at the World Connects Summit (an event co-produced by JT Foxx & Raymond Aaron). I’ve gotten some great exposure for National Syndication Network, LLC (NSN)…and for myself. And, I can truthfully say that I’ve begun valuable and lasting business relationships from the previous MegaPartnering event.

I’ll be MC’ing this one, too. Let’s connect at the event.
